SIMPLE DAYS
A few years ago I went back to Samoa to help my parents settle back in after living in Australia for 20 years. I thought it would be an awesome chance to get back to my roots and live the simple life...I lived in a little shack, ate the Samoan food, drove around on my dad's motorbike, tried to learn my language, got eaten alive by the mosquitoes and after 4 months of living it up island style decided to face reality...I'm a city girl! The 4 months felt like 4 years hahaha...but I will always have a heart for my beautiful homeland and I'm sooooo glad I went back and experienced what life in Samoa is like.

It's all about perspective
Just thought I'd post this because I went through a process where I was getting sick of everything ....I just needed to change my perspective....
SOULD OUT RECORDS
I'm on the board of directors for Sould Out Records, which is an independent record label that manages, publishes, records and markets artists who understand the influence they have through this music medium and are committed to being proper role models to todays generation.
Our artists are world class, they produce positive, controversial, honest, relevant music that challenges every level of society; be it politically, socially or culturally. The music produced is phenomenol and we seek artists that can appeal to the masses and entertain yes...but to also provoke, inspire and move people.
Music isn't just a medium for entertainment, it is a powerful medium for shaping, changing and cultivating society. The prevailing message that is being sent on the radio frequency is a depraived message of lust, greed and hate. The music that is shaping and demoralising the minds of our youth comes from uneducated, self seeking, label clones that are just marketing puppets for the major labels that are out there to exploit for the dollar.
Sould Out Records is taking a stand...we want a music revolution to tear down the system and rebuild it back to how music was originally intended. We want to build people with the music we produce.
Check out our myspace to see the current artists we're working with....remember the label Sould Out Records because we have a Big Vision and are sould out and ruthless about making that vision a reality. We have to be, because we got a massive vision that overpowers even our imagination and absolutely no money...where we lack in money we make up for in radical, unrelenting supernatural FAITH!

ICON CREATIVE SUMMIT 2008
To try to articulate this one event is quite difficult...but I'm going to try and do this amazing event justice by attempting.
Picture a platform where the vision and heartbeat is to activate and display untapped creativity in one place over a period of 3 days. A place where "pure"creativity is encouraged to be activated and expressed.
Icon Creative Summit is that place and for 3 days we're tapping into the creative realm to unleash creativity that has never been seen, heard or experienced before! Thats a bold statement in itself as creativity can be so subjective...what is considered art to one is junk to another. What is new? Isn't creativity recycled forms of expression expressing the same message but in different ways?
So how do we clearly define what is art? What is new? What is creative? I'm going to use Bob Marley as an example, his music was timeless and when you hear the music and lyrics it hits a chord in your spirit that supersedes time, space and understanding. Thats why people despite age, culture, religion or creed count this man as a musical icon...his music is a language that is understood universally. It connects with your heart and spirit in a positive way.
Icon Creative Summit attempts to select artists who have broken through into this realm of creativity and have tapped into something that is eternal.
We'll be showcasing music, fashion, dance, film, visual arts, performing arts and more!

In doing so we want the audience to be impacted, changed, inspired and left questioning...where does creativity come from?
The eternal me
O.k been spinning over and over Jeremiah 1:5. So God knew me before I was in my mother's womb, he sanctified me then ordained me a prophet to the Nations.
This has been blowing my mind since my Pastor started preaching on discovering the Eternal Me! So I am not my flesh, I am not what I look like in terms of my body or physique because I was known before that was even created. Also despite the weakness of flesh, time and space - God had already sanctified me and then ordained me to be prophet to the Nations.
I looked up the definitions of the 3 key words: knew, sanctified and ordained and all 3 words are pretty profound when you look at the depth of their meaning:
Knew - past tense of know:
To perceive directly, grasp in the mind with clarity and certainity
To regard as true beyond doubt
To have fixed in the mind
To be acquainted with
To discern the character or nature of
Sanctify:
To be set apart for sacred use; consecrate
To make Holy; purify
To give religious sanction to, as with an oath or vow
To make productive of holiness or spiritual blessing
Ordain:
To invest with ministerial or priestly authority; confer holy orders on
Am on a voyage of discovery to draw nearer to God and in so doing discover the Eternal Me...the me that God knows! The me, that is above the confines of flesh, time and space. Sometimes I get a glimpse of who that is and there is such an unsatisfaction with my current state because I know I am far from that person.
Thankfully I am in the right place and under the right spiritual leadership to find my true identity in God. I am already that, its just a matter of my mind, spirit and heart aligning to that which has already been known and created.
